Crossing the Divide into Successful Weight Loss

Why is it the case when so many of us know how to lose weight fast that so few of us ever put it into practice? The rewards for knowing how to lose weight fast and implementing those ideas are immense but still we prevaricate doing it. As the global obesity epidemic gets worse there are millions and millions of people who could benefit with putting those ideas into action. We all know how to exercise and we all know how to watch what we eat. So what’s missing is the ability to get on with it and put our knowledge of how to lose weight fast into action.

If we don’t apply that knowledge we’ll be stranded in the divide and the longer we stay there the more this divide will turn in to an abyss. Once we fall in to this metaphorical abyss it becomes harder and harder to get out of it. That’s not to say that its impossible, but it just takes more effort than we needed to have.

So how do you take the leap and cross this divide and put to work all that knowledge that will help you with answering that question of how to lose weight fast.

Before we get in to any discussion about how you cross the divide it is necessary, although sometimes painful, to understand why you are standing on that side of the divide in the first place. To be able to cross the divide and form all the necessary new habits to stay on the new side of the divide we need to change your old habits.

Very often this takes the form of a heart to heart chat which may dig up some painful memories. Nobody lets their body become out of shape and not do anything about it if they are brimming with self-respect. If they don’t have any self-respect there is a reason for that and it is best to deal with it before going any further. To answer some of these questions you need to look deep inside and be honest with yourself about the challenges you’ve faced in your life up to this point and your responses to them. You will need to be very honest with yourself. If you’re not then you are the only one who is going to lose out and you need to be aware that you you will just be cheating yourself.

Any dramatic transformations in people, especially when it comes to transforming their bodies have come from an honest reflection of this nature. If there ever was a miracle pill for weight loss it is this. It may not seem so but once you have your emotional house in order then going to the gym or eating sensibly will become second nature. The fundamental question you need to ask yourself which will help you with this process is “what are your reasons for wanting to make this change?’

To illustrate this point it is worth thinking hard about the difference between a doctor ordering you to drop thirty five pounds otherwise you will be dead within a year or you simply deciding off your own bat that you want to make the change. Do you see the difference. There will be a world of difference in your ability to cross the divide into successful weight loss if you can grasp the real motivators for doing so. Unfortunately these motivators may be buried very deep in your mind.
